Churches from Aldenham, Radlett and Shenley celebrated the first anniversary of the formation of the Church of England TEAM MINISTRY in the area, by holding a joint service on Sunday 21st May 2006 at Aldenham Parish Church.

The preacher was the Archdeacon Helen of St Albans, who also took the opportunity to license Revd Annie Hogg as a part-time volunteer member of the team staff. Worship was led by the combined choirs of Christ Church, Radlett, and Aldenham Parish Church, with an opening song by St Martin's Shenley Junior Choir, and  a drama by members of Radlett Impact (church youth group). After the service refreshments prepared by members of all three parishes were served in the church and there was a great sense of fellowship among people of all ages.

Other normal Sunday morning services at Christ Church and St John's in Radlett and St Martin's in Shenley were cancelled to enable everyone to meet together for this special occasion. The Team Vicar of Aldenham, Revd Robert Fletcher, celebrated Communion. Revd Vincent Oram from Shenley, who is also Rural Dean for local Anglican churches, presented Annie for her licensing, and prayers were led by Revd William Hogg, Team Vicar of Radlett and Rector of the new team. It was a joyful and happy occasion with over 200 people gathered in this beautiful old church.

Annie Hogg was ordained in 2002 in Chester Diocese and has recently completed her training period at Christ Church, Watford, where she remains part-time chaplain to Courtlands Lodge residential home. Her main job however is her teaching post at Edge
Grove Prep School in Aldenham where she gives learning support lessons.
